Projects

Agri-business Development

Phase I: Teamwork City of Hope’s agri-business center includes 35 acres of farmland, dairy and beef cows, chickens, pigs and honey production. These enterprises help to make The City of Hope self-sustaining and also help meet the needs of widows and the poor in the community.

Phase II: Our goal is to develop 200 – 500 acres for farming. We will train nationals with modern agricultural techniques and be able to harvest cash crops along with milk, eggs, poultry and beef. We have already brought the first tractor into this area that has greatly helped with both the agriculture and the building projects. The farm will provide food for the residents of Teamwork City of Hope, as well as provide cash crops to meet other needs. To buy 200 more acres, we need approximately: $270,000.

How you can get involved:

We are seeking farm equipment to equip our agricultural center.  Each tractor is estimated to cost $70,000.00

We are seeking those who will commit finances to aid Teamwork City of Hope to become self-sustaining by developing our agri-business project.

Kitchen for our School

We have an immediate need for a new kitchen and dining room for our school.  Our old one is inadequate to meet the needs of our nearly 100 children in our children’s home and 200 children in our school.  The total cost to build and equip the kitchen with proper, fuel efficient stoves is $55,000.

(Our current kitchen and stove.)

Micro-financing

We are looking for those who would be willing to provide micro-financing for our employees and their families at TCOH. We have many employees who are interested in starting small businesses or need some start-up money for a farming project. With just a little money, we would be able to start helping a few who would pay it back and then help others.

Dream Center

The Dream Center is our plan to  add another dimension to our school  It is to be a place where dreams to change the future can be fulfilled. At the dream center we desire give the people of Ntagacha and the surrounding areas an opportunity to realize their dreams.  The Dream Center will include classrooms, a library, a computer center, and auditorium. Our goal is not just to train the children but also to equip a community – it is about community transformation.

The Dream Center will equip the people of Tanzania with the skills to break the cycle of poverty. We will teach vocational skills, financial principles, micro-financing, time management, goal setting, administration, and mind management. Equipping a future generation of leaders is one of the crucial factors in achieving success in the battle against HIV/AIDS through culturally relevant and appropriate solutions.
